The bike is equipped with an in-line “two”, but the power is unlikely to impress. Qianjiang, which owns the Benelli brand, has introduced a new 302 Tourer to the Chinese market with a nice design, but not the most advanced stuffing. The motorcycle has a 300cc engine from a naked BN302, but in a slightly derated format – it develops 34 hp and 27 Nm (naked has 37 “horses” and 26 Nm).

The Chinese owners of the Italian brand Benelli are targeting the European market. The company is preparing to release two new motorcycles, a 750cc and a 900cc naked. The yellow naked, very similar to the Ducati Monster, is equipped with a 750cc parallel twin, an imposing inverted telescopic fork and a dual disc front brake with radial calipers.

Chinese-owned Italian manufacturer Benelli announced it will present a new sport-touring version of its naked BN600R at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan. The 2014 new Benenlli BN600GT is powered by the same 600cc Inline-Four engine powering the BN600R. For the naked roadster, the engine claims an output of 80.4 hp at 11,500 rpm and 38.4 ft-lb.

First unveiled at the 2010 EICMA Show, the 2011 Benelli TNT R160 is powered by an 1131cc three-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed transmission with a dry slipper clutch. Benelli claims 155.6 hp at 10,200 rpm and 88.5 ft-lb.

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.
Honda Shadow RS Price: $8240
Honda has launched an onslaught of cruisers that have probably caught the attention of the Harley-Davidson boys in world. The Shadow RS aims right for the 883-size Sportsters with its classic style and 745cc V-twin. On paper it’s a clone of the rough-hewn Harley. But in practical use, the Honda is tailored more for twisty roads than solely for boulevard cruising. This would be an excellent bike for the beginner cruiser rider because it’s one of the least intimidating bikes on the market, and yet large enough to accommodate taller riders. And the Shadow would make for a great commute, delivering 56 mpg.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Special Edition

Honda CRF150F
The 2013 Honda CRF150F has the very welcome e-button to get things going. Make sure you keep the battery charged, as there is no kick back-up. However, should you find yourself with a flat battery, the CRF150F is easily bumpstarted, even when cold. While many may naturally assume that the Honda CRF150F is a direct competitor to the excellent Kawasaki KLX140L, this is definitely not the case. The KLX140L is a much more compact machine, with ergonomics that are great for younger riders, but adults can find a bit confining, especially when it comes to clearance between the handlebars and knees. At 5′ 6″ and 115 pounds, I fit perfectly on the 2013 CRF150F, with its seat height under 33 inches and plenty of room between the bars, pegs, and seat. While I have the experience to ride larger, faster dirt bikes, there is something liberating about throwing around the CRF150F with abandon. Sure, I can’t do big jumps or whoops on the 150F, but on smooth, tight tracks, it’s a blast to put in some fast laps by keeping the throttle pinned. The Showa suspension, front and rear, offers nine inches of travel. It’s not the highest quality travel, as you’d expect, though it will exceed the needs and expectations of any novice rider. The suspension could be a bit more compliant for a smoother ride, but these units are built to a price-point. Honda didn’t change the CRF150F for 2013, which makes sense. Until they bite the bullet and go with fuel injection and a rear disc, there really aren’t many improvements that need to be made to the CRF150F. It will work for new riding adults and youngsters growing up and looking for something bigger on the trails. New riders have never had it so good.

Benelli на EICMA 2010 – TnT 1130 Century Racer и компания
В 2011 году итальянской компании Benelli (ныне принадлежащей китайцам из Qianjiang) исполняется 100 лет. Чтобы отметить эту впечатляющую дату, завод выкатил специальную версию нейкедов TnT 1130 и TnT 899 под названием Century Racer. Кроме того, на своем стенде во время миланской EICMA итальянский производитель организует музей, который раскроет посетителям выставки долгую и богатую историю Benelli.
Спецверсия трехцилиндрового мотоцикла выполнена в приглушенном зеленом цвете, отдавая дань уважения итальянскому гонщику Ренцо Пазолини (Renzo Pasolini), трагически погибшему на этапе MotoGP в Монце в 1973 году. Тормоза и подвеска также подверглись улучшению – на обоих колесах установлены лепестковые тормозные диски Braking, а на переднем с ними работают четырехпоршневые радиальные суппорты Brembo. Что касается подвески, то здесь покупателя ждет полностью настраиваемый перевертыш от Marzocchi.
Benelli TnT 899 Cafe Racer 2010
Cafe Racer-версия аппаратов получит в свое распоряжение новое седло и перекрашенные клапанные крышки. Общим для всех моделей линейки TnT новшеством станет задний моноамортизатор Sachs, а также измененная карта зажигания для ECU – апдейт, который владельцы TnT ждут уже несколько лет. Неизвестно, в чем конкретно он заключается – будет ли это повышенная мощность или решение проблем с «рваным» впрыском?
Линейку мотоциклов двойного назначения Tre K оснастят теми же обновлениями подвески, что и TnT. В общем, в 2011 году Benelli не обещает никаких сюрпризов, что нас совсем не радует. Мы каждый год ждем от Benelli большего, ведь они создают одни из самых потрясающих мотоциклов в современной индустрии, но каждый раз итальянцы отделываются незначительными изменениями. Еще пара-тройка лет, и на одном дизайне TnT-байки «выезжать» не смогут…
